A different use for Vicks vapor rub

Last month I heard a story from a news cast about the uses of Vicks Vapor rub other than the usual use for colds. It was to cure dry and cut up feet. My feet get cut up on the heals and along the sides of the foot itself. The cuts get really deep and hurt like a son of a gun. Nothing I tried has ever worked long term. They said to rub it on the entire foot, put on a pair of white cotton socks and keep them on for 12 hours. They said to do it every night til the cuts were gone. You can do it once a week to prevent the cuts.
I tried this right away and it only took 2 nights for the cuts to be on the mend. They are now all the way healed. I plan on using this once a week for ever. It feels real good to have no dry feet or cut up heals. Maybe next summer I can actually wear sandals without being embarrassed.
Elie if you read this, you have to try it. It smells weird but really works. Hey and it will also clear your nasal passages.

Haha, that's quite a turn of hand with the Vicks! I have to try it out because I get cracked heels due to wearing too much flip flops during the warmer months and no amount of scrubbing and moisture will get it back.

Vicks is always handy at my home because it's great when you're having a cold and such.

You can probably use petroleum jelly and have the same effect...

MArcie I have tried petroleum jelly and nope no effect whatsoever. Something in the Vicks is the cure all..Don't care what it is, all I know is my once sore cracked feet are really appreciative of it

I've heard it will clear up toenail fungus too.

Uh, not that I have toenail fingus, mind you...
